Construction of Barhadari Hauz Shahjahani

The reservoir located to the south outside the mosque was built by Zavatul-lah Khan. The addition of the Barhadari (twelve-arched pavilion) over it was commissioned by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ikramul-Haq through Mr. Mohammad Shafi Chishti, under his supervision and legal advocacy. To make this reservoir even more beautiful and deep, and to install a fountain in its center, Mr. Mohammad Yaqoob, owner of the Mumbai firm ‘Holy Fishries’, got it constructed in 1983 through the advocacy of Khaddim e Khwaja Sahab had marble work done on this reservoir through his client Aamir Ali.
